SAINT JOHN, N.B.- The City of Saint John got a look at a draft operating budget on Monday night for 2013 and there was some good news for many city services including the Cherry Brook Zoo.
The draft document includes 60-thousand dollars in funding for the zoo.
Lynda Collrin is Director of Zoo Development. “The best Christmas gift we could receive”, says Collrin. “We were concerned. We were a little nervous about it”.
Collrin says despite talk in the community about the zoo closing it’s not true and she says the zoo will be staying open.
