FREDERICTON – The provincial government is committing $280 million dollars to a number of infrastructure projects around the province in the fiscal year 2013-14.

Some of the cash for buildings, bridges, highways rural roads and equipment is coming to the Saint John region.

Major highway projects include $12.9 million for the Welsford bypass, $7.3 million for the One Mile House Interchange and $10.3 million for work on the Saint John Harbour Bridge.

A release from the Department of Transportation says $44 million has been allocated for rural roads and $42 million for work on various provincial bridges.
