SAINT JOHN, N.B. – A member of the Saint John Sea Dogs will once again represent Canada on the international level.

Team captain Jonathan Huberdeau has cracked the roster and will take part in the World Junior Hockey Championships for a second time.

Huberdeau is expected to be either traded to a Q-League contender or be a part of the Florida Panthers if the NHL lockout comes to an end soon.

Sea Dogs President Wayne Long says it’s too early to say what’s going to happen. “It’s one of those things we’re going to take day by day. We’re certainly going to do what’s right for the organization and hopefully it works out for everyone in the next couple weeks.”

Huberdeau and Team Canada open up play at the World Juniors in Russia on Boxing Day against Germany.
