FREDERICTON, N.B.- Over $17-million dollars in funding has been set aside for two major Saint John infrastructure projects in the Alward governments 2013 capital budget.

$10-million dollars will go towards the completion of work on the Harbour Bridge while the One Mile House Interchange project will receive over $7-million.

Transportation Minister Claude Williams says despite a change in the construction company overseeing the One Mile House interchange, the project is on track. That has all been dealt with and we have a New Brunswick company now working on those two projects”, says Williams. “We’re moving on schedule at no extra costs to New Brunswickers.

Williams expects the One Mile House Interchange will be completed by fall 2013.

Almost 13 million dollars will go toward the Route 7 bypass at Welsford.

In total, the Alward government will invest nearly $280-million dollars in bridges, buildings, highways, and rural roads in New Brunswick.
