FREDERICTON – The premier believes 2012 has been a productive year at the New Brunswick legislature.
In a year-end conference call, David Alward said his government introduced a capital budget that focused on priorities like schools and highway infrastructure.
Alward also highlighted changes to property taxes, and early discussions on an oil pipeline from Alberta.
“(It) was a positive message to be sending to Canada that we’re open for business and that we see the value that developing our natural resources, and a pipeline, could mean for New Brunswick,” Alward said.
Alward also reiterated plans to introduce a blueprint on shale gas development early in the new year.
