GRAND MANAN, N.B. – RCMP say the search for a missing New Brunswick fisherman will now be investigated as a missing person case.
The search was called off today, almost 24 hours after a call came into the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre that a 36-year-old fisherman from Grand Manan fell overboard while fishing lobster.
The Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the matter as a work related accident.
The name of the fisherman is not being released at this time until has family has been properly notified.
