SAINT JOHN, N.B.-Saint John Police are investigating the theft of three laptop computers along with equipment from Common Council chambers last week.

Sergeant Jay Henderson says the thefts took place between January 29th and the 30th.

Henderson says the equipment is valued at about 3 thousand dollars and it’s not believed to contain sensitive information.

Meantime police say a 47 year old man is expected face several charges in court this afternoon following several break and enters in the city.

The break-ins took place over the past number of weeks in the central part of the city.
