OROMOCTO, N.B.- A house fire in Oromocto has claimed the life of a 72 year old woman.

Fire crews responded to Evans Drive in Oromocto late Friday afternoon.

They got the elderly woman out quickly but she died in hospital a short time later.

The woman was the only one home at the time but was living there with her daughter and son-in-law.

The cause of the fire is not being released but was accidental in nature.
