SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Saint John common council has approved a contract that will see ONE Change take over operations at the Nick Nicole Community Centre.
The city will provide $30,000 this year, and an additional $30,000 next year, to put against the centre’s operational price tag of $184,000.
ONE Change President Scott Crawford says he wants the community centre to be more for the citizens of the north end.
“We want you to start coming to this centre before you’re born because your parents came here for pre-natal classes. We’ve been named as one of the next sites for an early childhood education centre and we’ll go right through the senior years.”
ONE Change will officially take over the centre June 1st.
