SAINT JOHN, NB – The official election campaign is just days away and Opposition Conservative Leader David Alward was in Saint John today to meet with local business and community leaders.
Alward was invited to a roundtable discussion with members of Enterprise Saint John, the Board of Trade, the Waterfront Development Corporation and UNBSJ.
Alward says he’s made four commitments to the people of Saint John including safe drinking water:
“Ensuring that working with the people of Saint John and the different levels of government to make sure that Saint John has safe drinking water, there can be no more important issue or investments on behalf of governments,” says Alward.
Other Conservative commitments include getting a federal deal on the Saint John Harbour Bridge, getting tolls removed, promoting growth of the local port and investment in Tucker Park.
