H1N1 cases rise in NB
SAINT JOHN - New Brunswick health officials say the number of H-1 N-1 cases continues to rise in the province. Doctor Eilish Cleary, the chief medical officer of health, said there's widespread activity, but no deaths to report. Cleary said the next shipment of the vaccine is due this week, but it will only be a quarter of what was expected. Still, Cleary said she's hopeful the province can keep to its original vaccination timeline. "We're still optimistic that we will be able to reach our target of vaccinating everybody by Christmas, but we can only vaccinate people when we get the vaccine," she said. Cleary said pregnant women should be able to get vaccinated as early as Wednesday. A shipment of four thousand non-adjuvant doses arrived this morning. |
