Campground abduction 'victim' pleads guilty



 

FREDERICTON - A New Brunswick woman has pleaded guilty to public mischief after making up a story about being abducted.

44-year-old Marcia Lynette Simmons of Noonan was charged back in the summer.

She told police man forced her at gunpoint to drive her SUV to Toronto from a campground north of Fredericton.

After several interviews, Simmons admitted to fabricating the story, and said she had gone to Toronto for personal reasons.
