Health care report includes startling statistics

FREDERICTON, NB - Some startling statistics in an annual snapshot from the
New Brunswick Health Council.

New Brunswick is the most obese province compared with the rest of the country.

Health Council C-E-O Stephane Robichaud says it's a big concern.

"Obesity has an impact on chronic illnesses, diabetes and it has an impact on hypertension, cardiac conditions and so on," says Robichaud.

There is is some good news in the health report.

New Brunswick ranked second out of the provinces and territories when it comes to residents having a regular medical doctor and third when it comes to people wearing a helmet while bicycling.
