SAINT JOHN, NB - All eyes are on hurricane earl as the monster category 4 storm continues on a possible collision course with the east coast.

Staff meteorologist Richard Zurawski says there is a fifty percent chance for tropical storm conditions for both Saint john and Moncton.

He says chances of hurricane-like winds is a bit less.

"In terms of the hurricane force, it looks like a one in twenty chance for Moncton and slightly bigger, maybe a one in nineteen or one in eighteen chance for Saint John as the system moves through," he says.

The wind is expected to blow between 80 and 100 kilometres an hour with rainfall between 50 to 100 millimetres.

The storm is expected to arrive around 5am Saturday and taper off after twelve hours.
