Keir wants Conservatives to explain funding for campaign promises

Nelson Hum - News Staff Sep 02, 2010 07:45:24 AM
SAINT JOHN, NB - Liberal candidate for Fundy-River Valley Jack Keir says the Conservatives are talking out of both sides of their mouths.

Keir says the Tories have promised to be fiscally responsible but have made nearly a billion dollars in promises.

"They said that their childcare promise would only cost $35-million dollars yet the experts in the field are saying it's going to cost $107-million dollars," he says.

Keir says only $30-million dollars worth of cuts have been announced and he wants to know where the rest of the money will come from.
