Campaign officially launches for new political party

Nelson Hum - News Staff Sep 02, 2010 10:13:04 AM
MINTO, NB - The People's Alliance of New Brunswick has officially launched their campaign.

About 120 people were at the launch party yesterday in Minto.

Party leader Kris Austin says there has never been real change whenever a new Liberal or Conservative government was formed.

"What we're saying as a new party is that it's not just about swapping political stripes.  It's about changing the system in which those politicians operate under to make it better for the people of this province," he says.

The group also announced that if elected, they would give the Auditor General the ability to look at all government books including those of Crown corporations.
