Saint John Energy prepares for Earl

Andrew Cromwell - News Staff Sep 02, 2010 12:22:38 PM
SAINT JOHN - Saint John's power utility is beginning preparations in the event hurricane Earl has a significant impact on the city.

Saint John Energy President Eric Marr says they're in the process of determining which staff members will be available if called upon.

Marr says, "being the long weekend, we thought that would be the prudent thing to do because a lot of people do have plans for this long weekend the last weekend of what is typically seen as summer".

Marr says the infrastructure is robust but if a hurricane hits the area there would be damage.
