LAS VEGAS - Season 11 of "The Ultimate Fighter" has yet to air but the UFC and Spike TV are already preparing for Season 12.
An open casting call is scheduled for April 1 in Charlotte. N.C. Producers of the reality TV show are looking for mixed martial arts fighters in the lightweight (155-pound) and light-heavyweight (205-pound) divisions.
Applicants must be 21 and over and have at least three pro fights.
The casting call takes place the morning after a UFC Fight Night card at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, headlined by lightweights Kenny Florian and Takanori Gomi.
Season 11, which features Calgary's Nick Ring, debuts March 31 on Spike and Rogers Sportsnet. The two coaches are longtime rivals and former light-heavyweight champions Chuck (The Iceman) Liddell and Tito (The Huntington Beach Bad Boy) Ortiz.
Season 12 is slated to air in September.
Notes - The DVD version of UFC 108 (Rashad Evans versus Thiago Silva) is slated for release March 16 in Canada ... Jason (The Athlete) MacDonald is replacing the injured Denis Kang in the W-1: Bad Blood main event against Vernon White in Montreal on March 20.
